Mars Bar Sauce
This sauce is made with melted Mars Bars. Need I say more… ? It’s fantastic with plain vanilla ice cream.
You melt Mars Bars into cream in a pan. It takes a little while for the sauce to go smooth, the trick is to just keep stirring.
Ingredients(for four portions)
3 Mars Bars(normal size)
A small tub of single cream (about 140 ml)
Equipment
A sharp knife and a chopping board (to chop the Mars Bars)
A small metal pan and a wooden spoon
How to make your Mars Bar Sauce
1. Chop the Mars Bars into slices.
2. Pour about half the cream into a pan. Add the Mars Bar slices. (It may seem that you don’t not have enough cream. Don’t worry – when the Mars Bars will melt they sauce even more creamy).
3. Switch the hob on a medium heat – we don’t want to burn the sauce. It won’t taste as nice.
4. Stirring all the time, heat the cream so that it starts to bubble very gently. Turn the heat down a bit as we don’t want to it to get any hotter. Keep stirring until the lumps of Mars Bars have disappeared.
5. If the sauce seems too thick, just add a drop more cream. Don’t worry about there being a few lumps left – they will taste delicious!

6. While its still hot, pour the sauce over the ice cream. Be very careful though – the sugar in the sauce will make it very HOT. Now serve it up and eat it before the ice cream all melts. Lovely stuff.
